Alex L. Parks
The late Alex Parks attended Troy State University and Tulane University before serving in the Naval Reserve. He served in the Navy during World War II and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War. He earned a J.D. degree from Willamette University College of Law and practiced law in Portland, Oregon, until his death in 1988.
Parks lectured for many years on admiralty and maritime law. He traveled to Asia, western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand and was a frequent contributor to the Journal of Maritime Law and Commerce and The Maritime Lawyer.
