In October of 1975, Eldon and his family built a new house from the ground up while living in a small trailer on their property. It took them a year to complete it. They lived in that house for 27 years making many wonderful memories with their children and grandchildren.
Eldon was well known for his love of gardening! He always had plants in the greenhouse and rows and rows of fruits and vegetables that he tended to daily. You never left his house without a bag of freshly cut up veggies.
When he wasn't in the garden, you could usually find him sitting in the garage listening to country music or relaxing in his recliner watching sports or the news while enjoying a beer or two. He also enjoyed going on cruises with Jackie, her sister, Betty, and her husband, Bob. In all, they went on eight cruises together and various other trips. More then anything though, he loved having his family around him!
