Mr. Rollie Lee "Philco" Phillips, 56, of 2225 Layard Ave., silently closed the doors to life on Thursday, January 9, 1998, at the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center.

He was born March 22, 1941, in Warren, Ark., to Clar and Martha (nee: Johnson) Phillips. Rollie served in the United States Navy, retiring after 23 years of dedicated service. He was an auto mechanic, avid bowler and enjoyed life to the fullest. Rollie will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Surviving are his mother, Martha (nee: Johnson) Phillips; brothers and sisters, Irma (Leonard) Wahl Bell, Artis (Linda) Phillips, Luther (Suzette) Phillips, Theopolis Phillips, Dennis Phillips, Denise Phillips, Duane (Alma) Phillips, Darlene (Edward) Lenore, Clarence (Joyce) Phillips and Clara (Leo) Turner; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 1998, at 11 a.m. at J.W. Wilkerson Funeral Home (Chapel of Memories), wit Elder George Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday morning.
