Edward Polansky, of Woodstream in Marlton, NJ for 51 years, on April 21, 2017, Age 85. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Wanda A. (Kratson) Polansky in June 2007. Also preceded in death by all four brothers, George, Joseph, Eugene and John, Jr. Devoted family man and loving father of Rev. Lawrence E. Polansky, Merchantville, Anne M. Polansky of Hockessin, DE, Edward J. Polansky and his wife, Marybeth, of Elverson, PA, and Kathleen A. Schiffer and her husband, Jason, of Center Valley, PA. Loving Grandfather/Pop-Pop of Caroline, Victoria, Alexander, Faith, and Erik.

Ed was born in Cumbola, PA and raised in Brockton, PA. As a young man from the coal regions of PA, he proudly entered the United States Navy, got to see the world on the USS Skagit and served his country faithfully during the Korean War. He then continued his world travels while working as an engineer for The Bell System / AT&T during his 42-year career. He was instrumental in assisting with the development of international standards for cellular communications.

Many friends and relatives will remember ‘Burt’ or ‘Eddie’ fondly for his love of funny stories, and for being the life of the party while playing his accordion and dancing the polkas.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing Tuesday 7-9 pm at BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd, Marlton. Viewing will continue in the Catholic Church of Saint Mary, 2001 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill at 10 am with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery Wrightstown, NJ.
