Albert Eugene Rogers, 70, of Lake Shore Road, Cicero, died Saturday February 15.1997 at home Mr Rogers was born in Syracuse and lived in Cicero for the past 60 years.
In 1992, he retired from Carrier Corporation as a set-up man after 43 years of service.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II enlisting 2/7/1944, and serving aboard LST 388 during the D Day Invasion, and was aboard USS Skagit for the surrender ceremony in Tokyo Harbor, leaving the Navy in December 1947.
A life member of the South Bay Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; four daughters, Marcia Mele of Fayetteville, Jennifer Sager of Bridgeport, Jill Rudy of North Syracuse and Jacqueline Snow of Cicero; a sister, Janet Martin of San Dimas, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. Services are 9 30 am. Tuesday at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Route 31, Bridgeport, and 10 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Bridgeport.
Burial will be in Resurrection Mausoleum of St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
