Russellville, Alabama William Duane Sillett Sr, 73, Russellville, Al passed away on Friday, February 06, 2009. Bill served in the Navy during the Korean War aboard USS Skagit AKA 105 from 1954-1956. Visitation was held 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Shoals Catholic Church, Tuscumbia, on Monday, February 09, 2009. The funeral service followed at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Officiating was Father Patrick Tierney. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Tuscumbia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick & Carrie Sillett. He is survived by his wife, Velma Sillett; children, Beverely Nichols (Neal), Russellville, William Sillett, Jr., Russellville, Kimberly Cabaniss (Lance), Russellville; sisters, Rita Urchasko, Greencastle, Indiana, Charlotte Forsyth, Marietta, OH; grandchildren, Nick Nichols, III (Tiffany), Lexington, Bradley Nichols, Russellville, Alexandria Cabaniss, Russellville, Jackson Cabaniss, Russellville, Shian Sillett, Russellville; great-grandchildren, Caleb Nichols, Lexington, Bella Nichols, Lexington; 14 nieces & nephews. The pallbearers will be family and friends. He was a member of the UAW Local 255, Sheffield, AL and the UAW Local 1219, Lima, OH. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 1st Floor West ECM nurses, Dr. Kalliath, Kisha Martin, Good Samaritan Hospice, Rachael Redick, Mona Gusmus, and to Our Lady of The Shoals Catholic Church.
